Israeli National Radio reported that Iranian Revolutionary Guards are arming Shia militias in Iraq in preparation for a potential future confrontation with Israel. According to Iraqi sources, following setbacks faced by the Iran-backed "Resistance Axis" in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza, Tehran is shifting its military influence focus towards these Iraqi militias.

The report indicates that Iran's support for these militias has recently intensified, particularly in providing advanced weaponry. It appears that the Iranian regime is training its proxy forces in Iraq to act against Israel if hostilities resume.

Previously, on November 1, the Israeli website Walla reported that the Israeli Defense Forces and Mossad are preparing to counter the growing threat from Iran-supported militias in Iraq. The Jerusalem Post also noted that Tehran has invested substantial resources in strengthening these militias and creating "terrorist infrastructures" in Iraq to be ready for coordinated attacks on Israel.

Despite pressures from the Iraqi central government and threats from the U.S. and Israel, these Iraqi militias refrained from intervening during the recent twelve-day conflict. Iraqi sources told Israeli National Radio that although these militias fear Israeli and U.S. attacks, they are currently stronger than the Iraqi army. They primarily follow the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards for armament and training, paying less attention to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani.
