One of the main challenges in designing corner-lot homes is balancing privacy with maintaining urban views. The Yamada House project addresses this by elevating the entrance to the second floor and dedicating the ground floor to green space.

Design Solution
This approach gives the building a "treehouse" appearance and creates a semi-open space at the entrance, fostering a serene and friendly relationship with the surrounding environment.

Located on a corner plot in a residential neighborhood, the Yamada House faces public exposure, prompting the owner to prioritize privacy. However, fully enclosing the property with walls would protect this privacy but deprive the neighbors of enjoying the neighborhood's charm.

Moreover, blocking street views can make passing by unpleasant and create an impression of aloofness for the residents. This design cleverly maintains a balance, ensuring both privacy and connectivity with the community.
