Saturday 05 November 2016Trump will defy the odds and win, like Reagan did
The following is an excerpt from Mitch Wolfe’s book “Trump: How He Captured the Trump White House” (available through Amazon) Americans are part of an historic populist phenomenon. From Ford Nation to Brexit and now Trump Nation. The people want massive fundamental change. They are mad as hell and they are not taking it any longer. Contrary to the liberal urban elites in New York, Washington and L.A., the people are always right. The people will win on November, 2016 and they will crush Hillary and all that she represents. Hillary will try to rig the presidential election, like Kennedy’s Daley did in Chicago for the 1960 presidential election. Hillary and her lackeys will use every dirty political trick in the books, as they did to beat Sanders by rigging the primaries. Come hell or Whitewater. So to beat her, Trumpsters, you have to be vigilant, expect the worst from her in terms of electoral dirty tricks, but in addition get all your supporters out to vote big time on election day and overwhelm her, as you did to Cruz in the GOP primaries. That’s the American Way! Bottom line? The election of 2016 reminds me very much of the election of 1980. Carter versus Reagan. Carter, with a horrible, mediocre record to defend, focused on trying to character assassinate Reagan for being uninformed, inexperienced and unfit to be president. Does that sound familiar? Also Hillary’s support - like Carter’s was - is indifferent and lacklustre. She is a terrible and uninspiring speaker. She is a horrible campaigner. Her crowds are meagre and listless. She is barely able to fill a one-bedroom apartment. Her boring message is “whereas I may be a corrupt crook and a liar, with tons of scandals in my closet, Trump is worse because he is crazy and says offensive things about women and immigrants!” It is no wonder Hillary has no popular momentum. And going to a Hillary rally is less fun than having a root canal. I don’t follow Hillary’s Pravda-like propaganda machines, the dying Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC or The New Yorker or the comparable propaganda polls. I follow something quite revolutionary. It is called social media. I have checked out hundreds of blogs and political sites for both Hillary and the Donald. They are black and white. The Trump people on social media are all fired up and pumped up. They love their man with a passion and they hate Hillary with equal passion. I do not see or feel that same passion or emotional commitment to Hillary. Accordingly, on Election Day, the Trump people will come out in force and contrary to the polls Trump will win in a landslide. As Reagan did in 1980, though all the polls had Reagan and Carter tied just prior to Election Day. It will be 1980, déjà vu, all over again. In that election, as in this election, the polls were wrong. In this election Trump supporters have lied to the pollsters about their Trump preference. How politically ironic! Lying Trump supporters will crush the lying Hillary. That’s karma, Hillary. The people will beat Hillary in the end.
