HRANA News Agency – In a statement of urgent action, Amnesty International warned about the imminent execution of Himan Uraminejad who was sentenced to death on charge of murder when he was a juvenile, and asked the Iranian authorities to stop this verdict.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Amnesty International called on the Iranian authorities to stop the death sentence of the juvenile offender, Himan Uraminejad whose verdict was confirmed by the Supreme Court. He has been informed that his sentence will be executed after April 1, 2016.
Amnesty International said that It was said to Himan Uraminejad, an Iranian young man who has been on death row for a crime he committed as a child, that he would be executed soon after April 1, when the 13-day New Year’s holidays in Iran would be over.
The statement stressed that Himan Uraminejad was tried and sentenced to death in August 2012 at the age of 17 after a fight resulting in the death of another son by stabbing. He was 17 years old at the time and now he is 21 years old and is on death row in Sanandaj prison in west of Kordestan province.
Amnesty International called on the Iranian authorities to stop this verdict immediately.
