5 Civil Activists Sentenced To Imprisonment And Lashes In Ardabil

HRANA News Agency – The sentences of three months imprisonment and thirty lashes of 5 civil activists in Ardabil were confirmed by the appeal court. Tohid Amiramini, Saleh Pichganlo, Maisam Julani, Mostafa Parvinjoda and Morteza Parvinjoda were arrested during a football match and after picking up a placard demanding the freedom of a political prisoner.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these activists picked up a placard on which they had written: “Abbas Lesani, Azerbaijani activist must be released” during a football match between “Shahrdari Ardebil” and “Aluminum Hormozgan”.

Abbas Lesani, Turkish political prisoner (Azeri) is kept in Shiraz prison and in exile.

It is worth mentioning that Maisam Julani, Tohid Amiramini and Saleh Pichganlo have another case about the protests against “Fitileh” program during which they were sentenced to 3 months and 1 day.
