Ms Saei was charged with “disturbing public order” and “participation in illegal gatherings in support of Mohammad Ali Taheri” and was released temporarily on the bail. As well as continuing harassment and pressure on Erfan halghe activists, has been reported that Saeed Ardeshir, a supporter of the group, who is being held in Rajai Shahr prison since this summer, was sentenced to six months in prison in a new case. Mr. Ardeshir was arrested by the IRGC in February 2013 and was held in Evin prison for sometimes and then was released on the bail. One year later, he was sentenced to 5 years in prison and tried in Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court on charge of blasphemy through activities in Erfan halghe, and the sentence was confirmed by the appeals court of Tehran province. He was arrested again this summer and his sentence was carried out. A group of the parliamentarians of Europe has also recently asked for urgent action for Mohammadali Taheri, founder of Erfan halghe, by Hassan Rohani, president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
