Thursday 11 February 2016Iran parades reenactment of captured U.S. sailors
Iran celebrated its 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution by putting on parade a mock demonstration of the capture of the 10 U.S. sailors, and by releasing images of one of the detained Americans with a face full of tears during his ordeal. The reenactment took place on a parade float, using Iranians to act out both captives and armed captors roles. The ‘Stop Hillary’ campaign is on fire! Join the surging response to this theme: ‘Clinton for prosecution, not president’ In the background, parade participants called for the destruction of the Saudi regime, the United States and for Israel, Ynet News reported. The Islamic Republic News Agency said the celebrations took place in more than 1,000 cities and 4,000 villages, and received coverage by more than 5,200 journalists and photographers. The news outlet also said Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam leader, attended the celebrations. What’s next? Find out in “Showdown with Nuclear Iran.” As part of the anniversary, Iranian television showed video footage of an American sailor who was part of the capture of a month ago crying and wiping tears from his face. The U.S. Navy is still investigating the incident involving two patrol boats. Preliminary reports indicated the boats wandered into Iranian waters and the 10 sailors aboard, including one female, were taken into custody, videotaped, photographed and shortly after, released. Iran has since used the images to advance its propaganda messages against the United States – an embarrassing and upsetting scenario for the Obama administration, which has been touting its reset relations with Iran, due in large part to a forged nuclear treaty. http://www.wnd.com/2016/02/iran-parades-reenactment-of-captured-u-s-sailors/ |
