Execution of 12 Prisoners in Northern Iran Postponed

Iran Human Rights (JAN 14 2016): Executions scheduled for 12 prisoners at Karaj's Rajai Shahr Prison have reportedly been postponed.

According to close sources, on Saturday January 9, the prisoners had been transferred from their cells to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions. A confirmed source who asked to be anonymous says the executions orders were postponed after orders by Iran's Public Prosecutor. The prisoners were reportedly returned to their cells.
