Ayyub Porkar Imprisoned In Exile And Without Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Ayyub Porkar, exiled political prisoner is serving his 20-years sentence in Karun Prison of Ahwaz without furlough.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Ayyub Porkar had been sentenced by branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran to death. This sentence was reduced to 20 years imprisonment by branch 36 of the Appeal Court. He was charged with supporting MEK. He had been first exiled to Behbahan and then to Karun Prison in Ahwaz.

He has been arrested in December 2008 and is deprived of furlough and regular visit with his family since then.

Nasrin Sotudeh, who was his lawyer had told that her client’s “believes” were the base of the death sentence and she could never have expected such a decision by the court.
