HRANA News Agency – Nahid Gorji has been released on the bail at the anniversary of her arrest because of the severity of the depression and poor psychological condition. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Nahid Gorji has been released on the bail at the anniversary of her arrest because of the severity of the depression and poor psychological state as well as a history of being admitted in the hospital associated with mental health problems, in order to follow her treatment outside the prison. It should be noted that Nahid Gorji’s trial was held a while ago, but she is still waiting for the court’s decision. Earlier there were reports released by the media in connection with Nahid Gorji’s acute mental status and severe depression. Nahid Gorji was arrested by the security forces on 11th October last year, when they raided her home and after an inspection, she was transferred to the revolutionary Court in Koh Sangi, in Mashhad and then was transferred to an unknown location. Two weeks later a bail of 400 million Tomans was issued for her, an amount that according to her family, was heavy and they could not afford it. On 8th December last year, eight of the European Union MPs issued a joint letter to Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and expressed their concerns about the detention of Nahid Gorji and urged her to discuss their concerns about this civil activist with the Iranian government and demand her freedom. https://hra-news.org/en/nahid-gorji-released-bail-year-detention |
