HRANA New Agency – The authorities prevent Nasser Toghiri, Bu-Ali Sina University student activist, in Hamedan, who has been detained since Wednesday morning, 30th September, from being released. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), despite the bail order and although his case has been taken out from Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court in Hamedan and has not been returned to the branch, the authorities prevent him from being released. An informed source, in this regard, told HRANA’s reporter, that there are concerns in this connection that suggests there is a possibility of increase in the bail of 70 million Tomans. Nasser Toghiri, a student activist of Bu-Ali Sina University of Hamedan, who had been summoned to the police intelligence office in the morning of Wednesday, 30th September attended “Properties office” of Hamedan province, to be investigated there on behalf of the police force intelligence office. This student activist was not released after the interrogation in the afternoon of the same day and in the morning of Thursday, 1st October, he was taken under escort to the General and Revolutionary Court of Hamadan city and was investigated by Branch 3 and was charged with accusations such as “propaganda against the regime and in favor of subversive groups, insulting the Supreme Leader, insulting the founder of the revolution, blasphemy, forming a group to call for gathering”. It should be noted that earlier there were some news suggesting delays, obstruct and failure by Hamadan “Properties office” staff in reviewing and accepting the bail. Nasser Toghiri, student activist of Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamedan, was transferred to the quarantine ward in Alvand prison in Hamedan and against the order that had been issued by the Hamadan public prosecutor, he is being still kept under detention in this prison. It is to say that Nasser Toghiri, economics master student, was previously summoned by the intelligence office in Hamedan and was interrogated. Nasser Toghiri is the eleventh student at Bu-Ali Sina, Medical and Industrial Universities in Hamedan, who has faced numerous judicial proceedings of different accusations of political-security charges, during the past year. This case has been opened, while the previous cases have not been determined yet. The evidences for this case also have been collected, the same as the previous cases, based on two references of the intelligence service and Bu Ali Sina University security office and have been entrusted to the prosecutor over a case. |
