HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Akramipoor, prisoner of conscience detained in Rajai Shahr prison after more than twenty-one months’ imprisonment is still in an undecided condition. According to the report of Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), Mohammad akramipoor, son of Mashallah, prisoner of Rajai Shahr prison, who was arrested on 28th November 2013, after more than twenty-one months of detention still remains in an undecided condition. According to this report, this prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, before his arrest used to live in Tehran and has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. Mohammad akramipour was transferred to ward 209 in Evin prison, after his arrest in November 2013, and was held there for 3 months and 20 days. This prisoner has been transferred twice for the trial to the court, but both times returned to the prison without being tried. The reasons which has been announced for the detention of Mohammad akramipour, is propagating Sunni religion, however, has also been accused with propaganda against the regime. Mr. Akramipour has experienced double pressure and ill-treatment during his interrogation just because of his conversion from Shia to Sunni. It should be noted that despite a bail amount of 30 million Tomans for this prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, the authorities prevent him from being released. |
