HRANA News Agency – Nima Hasani, civil rights activist from Uremia, has been arrested and transferred to prison of Uremia to serve his sentence.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Nima Hasani, civil rights activist from Uremia who had been sentenced to one months in prison with including his period of detention, after going to the revolutionary court of this city was arrested and transferred to the prison.
Nima Hasani was arrested along with 21 other people on 9th June 2014 and on the eve of the gathering on 20th June, associated with the Urmia Lake. After being tried in Urmia Revolutionary Court, he was sentence to six months in prison by Branch 1 presided by Judge Chabok, on charges of conspiracy against the internal security and propaganda against the regime.
The sentence for Nima Hasani – born in 1993 – was reduced to 1 month imprisonment, including the period of detention, by the Branch 10 of the appeals court in West Azerbaijan province.
It should be noted that, Nima Hasani had been arrested in connection with his civil activities already.
