HRANA News Agency – Hussein Jandaghian, Siamak Molamohammadi (Zhowan), Kiana (Didar) Karimpour, Sepehrdad Saheban and Mehraban Keshavarz, student activists, were arrested by the security forces on Wednesday.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the security forces during separate visits to two residential units in Tehran and Karaj, arrested Hussein Jandaghian, Siamak Molamohammadi, (Zhowan), Kiana (Didar) Karimpour, Sepehrdad Saheban, and Mehraban Keshavarz, some of the student activists and transferred them to Evin prison.
It is said that at least in one case the security forces forcibly broke the lock to enter the home, they also took personal belongings and computers of the detainees, after the inspection.
It should be mentioned that the number of students who were arrested on Wednesday night, are more than the number listed to date, but the identity and authentications of other detainees have not been confirmed for HRANA yet.
The exact reason for their arrest is not known, and according to the reports, most of the detainees are engineering students and graduates from Khajeh Nasir Tusi University.
