Prisoners of Ward 8 of Evin Prison Deprived of Warm Water

HRANA News Agency – After a week of warm water cut off, ward 8 of Evin prison inmates have faced a lot of problems.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), ward 8 of Evin prison’s hot water system has impaired from a week ago, and this has affected the daily life of the prisoners.

According to HRANA’s sources, prisoners have to take shower with cold water and a lot of them have not got a shower during this time, to avoid getting a cold.

Ward 8 has been described as; the “Worst ward of Evin prison”, and “New exile for Evin prison’s political prisoners” in which a large number of political and security prisoners are held in a super congestion and poor conditions of health facilities with non-political prisoners and frequent protests by the prisoners and their families have not achieved anything yet.

Most of the prisoners, who have been detained after the elections in 2013, are held at ward 8 and a large number of prisoners of ward 350, also have been moved to this ward.
