HRANA News Agency – Masood Bastani, journalist, was sent on leave for a period of 3 days in the last days of his imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this imprisoned journalist’s sentence of six years imprisonment has come to an end already, and currently his previous absence after a leave, has prevented him from being released.
Masood Bastani is a reformist journalist, who is in prison for his press activities. He was arrested in July 2009, and was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment in a public show trial. Mr. Bastani was exiled to Rajai Shahr prison, since last Januaryand since then he has been held in this prison.
It is to say that, his wife, Mahsa Amrabadi, is also a prominent Iranian journalist who has been arrested several times, due to her press activities.
