HRANA News Agency – Raoof Shahbazi, student of Hamedan University of Technology, has been arrested and transferred to Hamedan prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on 7th December last year, Mr. Raoof Shahbazi along with Sobhan Zamanian were sentenced to two years imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court of Hamedan, on charge of insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic in cyberspace.
According to an informed source, Mr. Rauf Shahbazi’s house was searched when he was arrested, and according to the published statement, documentary of issued court verdict, there are confessions of the defendants that have been reached under the pressure in solitary confinement.
It is to say that, the arrest and trial of these two university students have been held in silence and during the trial they have been deprived of the appointed lawyer.
