HRANA News Agency – At least 6 prisoners with drug related charges were executed in Ghezelhesar prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the death sentences of at least 6 prisoners who were charged with drug related charges were performed in Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj, on Sunday May 24. These prisoners were transferred to solitary confinements the day before.
Some source have reported 11 executions on the same day, and the identity of two of these prisoners were claimed as Masoud Zibayi and Abbas Haidari.
The identity of other prisoners is not verified by HRANA and authorities have not made any comments about this issue.
According to HRANA, the number of executions had an exponential increase from last week, in the whole country. Part of these executions were announced, some were public and the rest were the executions that were not publicized by any officials.
