Tuesday 21 October 2014Intelligence office summons a dervish from Baidokht
Majzooban.org - The prohibition of travel for Gonabadi Dervish residents of Baidokht to Tehran, frequent summons of Dervishes to the security police via SMS and phone in different cities and also chasing some scholars and influential Dervishes and keeping them under surveillance are absolutely such forms of intimidation and pressure which impose on the followers of this mystical Sufi order after their rightful demands and peaceful protests in front of the judicial center and Department of Justice in the form of migration campaign of dervishes to the Evin prison, in the last weeks in Shahrivar, first in Mehr 93 (September 2014). According to Majzooban Noor, Security Institutions in last action, has summoned Gonabadi Dervish, Mr. Salman Hosseini Baidokhti by telephone who had taken part in the last gatherings of dervishes in front of the judicial center and Department of Justice. It is worth mentioning that Gonabadi Dervishes planned to gather in front of Tehran's Prosecutor's Office in solidarity with the imprisoned dervishes who were on hunger strike and demanded removal any security view toward Dervishes. But their peaceful protest turned violent by military and security forces. These Sufis have joined the "Migration from Iran to Evin Prison" campaign declaring that either the security-oriented approach to the Dervish community must stop or the Iranian state must put them behind bars too like their imprisoned brothers. |
