Saturday 26 July 2014Women’s clubs for marriage
A lot of Saudi men prefer to marry women from Syria, Iraq and even Iran. This trend creates a scarcity of grooms in Saudi Arabia. Some of my Saudi friends married Syrian and Egyptian women because they thought that Saudi women are “useless” and “always quarreling” with their husbands. Please forgive me for my comment, but its not my opinion. I just quoted a few of my Saudi friends here.
Saudi women are now focusing on their education and do not feel the need to marry. Another reason is that men cannot afford to marry Saudi women. Third, the fathers are not accepting proposals.
Sixty percent of marriages in Saudi Arabia fail in the first year. It has the highest divorce rate in the world. Reason cited: intimacy issues. Problems seems to be the male mindsets .
If Saudi Arabia would allow Saudi women to marry non-Saudi men, there would not be that many single Saudi women. Saudi women should be given the same rights as Saudi men, who can marry non-Saudi women.
Good Idea. To find a suitable bride or bridegroom becomes very difficult for families who have no social links or have no wide public relationship. Women’s Club for Marriage or Family Club for Mariage is a good forum to find a bride or bridegroom. I support this Idea.
