HRANA News Agency – Shahrokh Zamani and Rasoul Badaghi are tried once more.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Rasoul Badaghi and Shahrokh Zamani have been summoned to Karaj public court and have been informed about their new charges about prison riot and clash with guards, on Saturday, February 22.
These two prisoners of hall number 12 of Rajaei Shahr prison, called these charges as forgery and announced that they will not make any comment without prescreens of their lawyers.
Rasoul Badaghi and Shahrokh Zamani had complained about closing the wards library and also separating public library from political prisoner’s ward which resulted in their transfer to solitary confinement, on Saturday February 15. Following this transfer at least eight prisoners started hunger strike and some more announced that they are ready for starting hunger strike.
Rasoul Badaghi and Shahrokh Zamani are brought back to ward on Thursday February 20.
An informed source said to HRANA’s reporter: “Mardani, the chief of Rajaei Shahri prison has sued these two political prisoners and new case is opened for this reason.”
