No furlough for Saeed Malekpour

HRANA News Agency – The authorities do not permit Saeed Malekpour, the prisoner of the ward 2-A, who is sentenced to life imprisonment, to have furlough.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the IRGC and judiciary authorities announced in 2008 that they have been able to stop some “immoral Persian websites” and those who were involved have been arrested.

Saeed Malekpour was arrested according to this case in September 2008. He was first sentenced to death and afterwards to life imprisonment.

He is now kept in the ward 2-A which belongs to IRGC. He has asked for furlough several times but the authorities have not agreed yet.

Saeed Malekpour had already written a letter from the prison explaining that he was forced to confess to what he has not done under severe tortures.
