HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Shahrezaei was transferred from quarantine ward to ward 8, instead of ward 350 of Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ahmad Shahrezaei who was arrested in order to serve his sentence on Saturday, December 28, 2013 was transferred to ward 8 instead of ward 350 of Evin prison due to the pressure of intelligence office and prison authorities.
After a telephone call of this social activist and former student activist of university of Yazd to his family, he described his transfer to ward 8 of Evin prison where the financial criminals are imprisoned and also bad behavior of other prisoners and ward guards.
Ahmad Shahrezaei is sentenced to one year in prison on charge of propaganda against the government by news coverage and having contact with political prisoners’ families. He has served 2 months of this sentence already.
He was previously charged with protests rally participation and acts against national security and sentenced to one and half year in prison. He fully served his sentence in 2011 and 2012. He also had a 48 days detention in November and December 2012 in intelligent service detention on his record.
