HRANA News Agency – Despite the fact that the father of Farhad Salimi, the Sunni prisoner, passed away, the prison authorities refuse to send him to furlough. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Farhad Salimi from Saghez was arrested on February 8, 2010, by intelligent service forces. After spending four years on Rajaei Shahr prison, is still in suspension and turmoil situation. The father of this Sunni master and instructor of religion passed away on Wednesday December 18, but prison’s authorities refuse to give him a furlough, until the completion of this news. According to code of Organization of Prisons, under death or sever disease even of immediate family member, prisoners have the right to go to furlough, either on bail or protected. An informed source told to HRANA’s reporter: “Mamousta Farhad Salimi has asked judge Nasiripoor through a letter to accept the bail that was put and permission that was issued on 2010. His father’s death has raised the sadness and depression of the family, which already had existed because of his imprisonment. He was supposed to be released on bail in 2010 but intelligent service has intervened and prevented his release by judiciary authorities.” Farhad Salimi, Davood Abdullahi, Anvar Khazri, Ghesem Abesteh, Khosro Besharat, Kamran Shaukheh and Ayoub Karimi have been arrested in February 2010 and sent to solitary confinement of intelligent service of Uremia for 8 months. Then, they were transferred to Evin prison and spent another 6 months in solitary confinements of wards 240 and 209. Next, these seven prisoners were transferred to ward 350 and after 20 days, transferred to Rajaei Shar prison, on April 13, 2012. |
