HRANA News Agency – Six Sunni prisoners of conscientious, who were sentenced to death, are on their 15th days of hunger strike in solitary confinement, in ward 240 of Evin prison. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), two of these prisoners, with the names of Mamusta Kaveh Veysi and Mokhtar Rahimi, have been transferred from Rajai Shahr prison to solitary confinement of ward number 240 of Evin prison. The four others, with the names of, Kaveh Sharifi, Behrouz Shahnazari, Taleb Maleki and Shahram Ahmadi have been transferred to ward 240 of Evin prison, on October 9. An informed source told to HRANA’s reporter: “These six Sunni prisoners of conscientious, who are kept in solitary confinement, are on their 15th days of their hunger strike. These prisoners are kept in level two of ward 240, which is under control of intelligence and security service and cannot be monitored by the national organization for prisons. Since their transfers, they could have only one telephone call, which was disconnected when they started to talk about their bad condition in prison. They also are deprived from having visitors.” He added, “Considering the fact that all of these six prisoners are facing with death penalty, their families are very concern that sentences will be carried out, after Moharam month”. |
