Friday 25 October 2013Pressure Intensifies on Baha’is in the Fars Province
Persianbanoo - On the morning of October 13, 2013, the Intelligence Ministry’s agents raided the homes of 14 Baha’is, conducting a search and seizure of items. The following is the list of people whose homes were searched and books, computers, CDs and pictures were confiscated. 1- Behnam Janati 2- Hedayat Golshan 3- Sani Sadeghi 4- Zekrollah Sedaghat 5- Sayad Javad Dana 6- Manmoud Siyadat 7- Firooz Rastegar 8- Rahmatollah Golshan 9- Farshid Rastegar 10- Naser Movafagh 11- Ali Bagheri 12- Fatemeh Kanaani (Forouzan) 13- Rezagholi Rastegar 14- Soroush Ranjbar One or more of the family members in each home were summoned for interrogations and asked to guarantee that they will not engage in any illegal activities or hold meetings other than “Ziyafat” meetings (a gathering of people where prayers are recited and social matters are discussed). It also seemed that the agents showed more interest in Mehrdad Forouzan and Afshin Bolbolan who are not residents of Abadeh and were only visiting there. For some years now Mr. Bolbolan often travels to Abadeh to visit and take care of his elderly grandfather who is in poor health, and Mr. Forouzan travels there to visit his elderly mother. The agents have ordered Mr. Bolbolan not to travel to Abadeh anymore and not to visit any family members there. Also the agents locked and sealed Esmaeil Frozan’s workshop which is located on the second floor of the home of his mother, Fatemeh Kanani. Source: HRANA |
