The Imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish Lawyer Hospitalized

Majzooban Noor - Imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish lawyer, Amir Eslami was taken to "Taleghani Hospital" on Saturday 2th of Shahrivar 1392 (Aug 24 2013).
According to Majzooban Noor, Amir Eslami who is currently held in ward 350 of evin prison, under order from Evin infirmary, was transferred to Tehran's Taleghani hospital on an emergency basis due to the severe abdominal pain and gastrointestinal bleeding.

It is long time that, this prisoners of conscience has suffered from gastrointestinal disease but in recent days his condition worsened as his heartbeat has gone more irregular and he has often had blood in his vomit which can be a cause of concern. Despite deteriorating of Amir Eslami's physical condition, he was not received any medical care and was also prevented from transfer to hospitals outside the prison. After his health started to fail and deteriorated, he was taken to hospital and hospitalised!

About the current situation of Amir Eslami, his wife told "Majzooban Noor website": "Since the day Amir has been taken to the hospital, I have not been allowed to visit him even for a few minutes. Regarding his heart disease, we are concerned that he may be sent back to the prison without completion of the medical treatment just like the last times.

Amir Eslami who has had two heart attacks thus far in prison, for more than 3 months (from Jan 15, 2013 to Apr 14, 2013) was put in solitary confinement of Ward 209, endured inhumane conditions of this security Ward despite his serious illnesses, in which exacerbated his heart palpitations and gastrointestinal disease.

Gonabadi Dervish lawyer Amir Eslami along with six other dervish attorneys and Majzooban Noor website's managers is being held in ward 350 of Evin prison for his faith for nearly 2 years.
