Majzooban Noor - The accusative case of Kasra Nouri 22 years old and Gonabadi Dervish rights activist imprisoned at Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz, who has been sentenced to four years and four months in prison in part to intimidate other youth and prevent them from joining the Dervish sect(!), has been sent back to the Appeals Court since 28 Farvardin 1392 ( Apr 17, 2013) but after 5 months, the court has not yet issued a final decision on his case. According to Majzooban Noor, Kasra Nouri, the Gonabadi Dervish and one of the collaborators of Majzooban Noor website, was sentenced at Branch 3 of Shiraz's Revolutionary Court presided over by judge Rashidi to four years and four months imprisonment on charges of "propaganda against the regime," "acting against national security," "insulting the Supreme Leader," "membership in the Majzooban Noor website," and "interviewing with Radio Farda". His four attorneys have denied all charges and objected strongly to the term and have sent it to Appeal Court since five months ago but still the court has not yet issued its final decision. After his lawyers has appealed his conviction, the Court of Appeals overturned his sentences and announced that the criminal charges against the accused do not have the legal standing so the justices threw the case back to the Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court of Shiraz for further review. But Mr. Rashidi, the judge of Branch 3 of Shiraz's Revolutionary Court after adding some new Article and Clause at the end of his final sentence (!), sent it back to the appeals court with no changes which resulted to a delay of 5 months in his case Processing. The Revolutionary Court wrote in Nouri's severe ruling that it was intended to prevent "irreparable consequences in society and especially as pertains the youth." The ruling issued by the Shiraz Revolutionary Court also stated that Kasra Nouri's activities "promoted the creation of new beliefs" and "made the atmosphere of society unsafe and promoted superstitions." |
