Iran Lawmakers Seek to Impeach Minister for Inflation

A group of 20 Iranian lawmakers are seeking to impeach Industries, Mines and Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari for his alleged inability to prevent inflation from taking hold in the country’s markets, Fars reported.

“Rising prices in our society and problems this has caused” are the reasons for the impeachment motion that has been signed by 20 lawmakers, Fathollah Hosseini, a member of the parliament, told the state-run news agency in a report published today.
