AP -- A former security adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says key voices are being excluded from the debate over whether to attack Iran.
Uzi Arad said Saturday that the Israeli military dominates the debate about options vis-a-vis Iran. He told Israel TV's Channel 2 this means not all alternatives to an attack are being considered.
Israel considers a nuclear Iran an existential threat. Israeli leaders have hinted recently that they could authorize a strike on Iran's facilities.
Arad was chief of the National Security Council under Netanyahu before resigning in 2011. He said the council, which comprises military officers and civilians, should be the main body discussing the issue.
Netanyahu's office declined to confirm or deny Arad's charge.
