The energy minister, Majid Namjou in a letter to the President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad informed him of fuel shortage of country’s power stations, Mehr news agency reported Tuesday.
Namojou says that oil ministry has stopped delivering gas to the power stations and their liquid fuel is to be used up soon.
The 2000MW Shahid Montazeri power station, Iran’s largest power producer for instance has only for the next 3 days fuel, told an official of the energy ministry to MNA.
The reason for the gas delivery stop is not clear.
