IRGC's to launch military maneuver on Monday

Aerospace Commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said that IRGC's missile maneuver of Great Prophet Mohammad-VI will start on Monday.

Brigadier General Hajizadeh said that the main purpose for holding the military drill is maintaining the defense preparedness of IRGC forces.

'Measuring the degree of preparedness of IRGC's military units, exercising new tactics, presence of young soldiers alongside experienced personnel of IRGC and extensive usage of advanced equipment are among other objectives of Great Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) war games,' he added.

Brigadier General Hajizadeh noted that long-range, medium-range and short-range missiles, including Khaleej Fars (Persian Gulf), Sajjil, Fateh, Qiam, Shahab-I and Shahab-II, as well as latest achievements and missile capabilities will be tested during the maneuver.

'We will also unveil the modern launching sites which are used in different parts of Iran,' he pointed out.

Brigadier General Hajizadeh said that the message of Great Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) military maneuver to the countries of the region is peace.

'Given the ongoing Islamic awakening in the region, the oppressed people of the region always consider Iranian nation and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as their ally,' he added.

Brigadier General Hajizadeh pointed out that the Great Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) military drills will be conducted both at sea and land.

'This maneuver is not a threat for other countries and it is conducted within the annually scheduled timetable of Iran's armed forces and for the sake of maintaining defense capabilities,' he added.
