The family of Ali Reza Rajai, a national and religious activist was finally able to visit with him 40 days after his arrest.
Last Friday, the children and wife of Mr. Rajai were finally able to have visitation with this journalist who serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Guild of Journalists. His family reported that he was in good spirits.
According to Jaras, Mr. Rajai who has been incarcerated since April 24th has no idea what he is being charged with. He said his interrogators alluded to his arrest as having something to do with the mass arrests of activists that had taken place in the years 2000 and 2001.
Ali Reza Rajai who has a doctorate in Political Science, is one of many of the nation’s journalists and political pundits who have recently been arrested. Security agents raided the home of Ali Reza Rajai a month and a half ago, after which he was arrested and transferred to Evin prison.
