Tehran, Iran, Jun. 09 - Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said it was the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic to support and increase ties with Venezuela, Belarus and Ecuador.
Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported on Thursday that Ahmadinejad emphasised the need to create both political and economic ties with these countries.
Ahmadinejad assigned Iran’s foreign minister to “seriously follow up” the process of creating stronger bilateral relations. He made “firm orders for materialisation of previously-made agreements” between Iran and the three states, the report said.
