Saturday 16 April 2011Photojournalist and a Baha’I’s citizen returns to Evin Prison
CHRR - Artin Ghazanfari photojournalist and a Baha’I’s citizen introduced himself for serving his one-year prison today (Saturday 16th April, 2011) His charges was announced by this list "the intention of gathering and colluding to commit crimes against national security", "propaganda against the system by supplying news for the foreign media", "disturbing public order" and "blasphemy". According to his term which has been communicated to him as "propaganda against the system" his sentence announced for one year jail. Artin Ghazanfari arrested for the first time after the Ashura’s events with several other Baha’is and his wife Jinous Sobhani which was former secretary of CDHR and taken to Evin Prison on 3th of January 2009. This Baha’i’s Iran citizen was released after three months by 55000.00 USD bail on April 3th 2010. Later after ten days, he arrested again and spends a week in Evin Prison. Artin Ghazanfari had spent several months of his detention in Evin Prison, benches 209, 240 and 350, he spent 60 days in solitary. This photojournalist and Baha’I’s citizen was sentenced to one year jail by the revolutionary court branch 28 and his appeals court ( Barnch 54) was exactly confirmed the first sentenced.
