A number of families of political prisoners in Iran planned to go to the United Nations office in Tehran to deliver a letter but were stopped by agents of the regime’s State Security Forces (SSF) stationed around the office, Iran Khabar reported on Thursday.
In their letter, the families had reportedly called on the UN to interfere about the imprisonment of their loved ones.
The reports indicate that when SSF agents saw the families nearing the office, they arrested two people and interrogated them for hours. They threatened the families that such actions on their part will result in heavier sentences for their imprisoned loved ones
