Thursday 06 January 2011Schism gets even deeper in Khamenei’s hardline circle
In its political note Kayhan state-run daily admitted that schism is getting deeper within Khamenie’s band: “this problem of political and legal issues some times get mixed and some times this is also accompanied by conspiracies of mischievous and diverged currents. This has strange outputs to the point that… officials and caring personalities in regard with the Establishment will confront each other. Unfortunately in some cases without the issue being clear, the consequences would be this: the public will feel that two powers of the country are confronting each other”. The source continues: “what is ultimately seen in domestic and media circles is a chaos that takes place because political and legal issues are not separated”. The subsidy cuts were the start of some changes within the ruling band of the regime. After Ahmadinejad dismissed 14 of his advisors its now turn for 9 new changes in cabinet. Tehran Emrooz wrote on Jan. 4: though there are still reactions to the sudden ousting of 14 advisors of the president a weekly close to the cabinet said that 9 other changes in high rank and middle rank officials of the government is on its way. According to this report either Alireza Soltanieh or Mohammad Ahmadian will replace Ali Akbar Salehi in Nuclear Energy Organization. Ali Akbar Salehi is currently put at the head of Foreign Ministry but there has been no news that he will be introduces as the Foreign Minister to regime’s parliament. |
