RAHANA, Last Monday, Dr. Shakouri Rad informed his family that he was kept in a cell shared by several other prisoners in Ward 2A and he is no longer being interrogated.
Shakouri’s wife, based on the news, asked his lawyer to change the sentence in order to provide any chance of his release,but apparently the interrogator has announced that there are still investigations to be done.
Shakhouri Rad’s wife said: “Since the reason for my husband’s arrest was discussing the quotations from some websites about Mr. Larijani, it would not be too good for the legal system’s reputation to keep him any longer;it has no legal justification and would be better for “the gentlemen” in authority to free my husband ;he is a specialist and freeing him will put an end to his family’s hardships and difficulties and also his patients and the medical community would become free from any doubt”.
Also, according to some reports, Nourizad is kept in Block A2 in an individual cell and his family didn’t managed to visit him last week.To be kept in an individual cell even after the court’s announcement of the sentence is a double oppression to some political prisoners and unfortunately no one seems to be taking responsibility.
