Student activist Mohammad Hossein Mozaffari has been arrested after referring to the Intelligence Ministry.
According to Advar News, a website belonging to the Alumni Organisation of Islamic Iran (Advare Tahkime Vahdat), Mozaffari was summoned to the Intelligence Ministry in the morning of Sunday 2 January, after which he was interrogated for hours and was then detained and transferred to unknown location.
Prior to his arrest, security forces had tried to detain Mozaffari at his home, but to no success due to his absence at the time of the failed attempt. His mother says that the pressure on the student activist and his family had been going on for a while. “Every second we feared his arrest,” she said.
