A student activist from Tehran University has been sentenced to a five-year suspended prison term.
According to Daneshjoo News, Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court has sentenced Reza Zeinali, a management student, to a five-year suspended prison term.
Zeinali is the political secretary of the Islamic Association of Tehran University’s Management Faculty. He was arrested by plain-clothed security agents at his home in early February 2010.
He’s been accused of “propagating” against the Iranian political system as well as “assembly” and “collusion” with the intention to act against the country’s “security.”
