Green Movement activists from the southern city of Behbahan, Hojatollah Nakhostin and Javad Abu Ali have been arrested.
According to Kaleme, the two Mousavi supporters were arrested two weeks ago on charges of having distributed copies of the online Kaleme newspaper as well as CDs with pro-Green Movement content in Behbahan where they are based. The two were transferred to a public ward in Behbahan prison after undergoing two weeks of interrogation.
Kalame has reported that following the Students’ Day protests on 7 December, thousands of posters, pamphlets and CDs have been distributed in the city of Behbahan in support of the Green Movement and Majid Dorri, an imprisoned university student expelled from Tehran’s Allameh Tabataba’i University and exiled to Behbahan to serve his six-year prison sentence.
Prison officials have until now prevented Nakhostin and Abu Ali from establishing any contact with Majid Dorri and have threatened the two Green Movement activists not to make any attempt at communicating with Dorri who is under harsh prison conditions in southern Iran.
