According to the Green Movement website Jaras, on September 28, merchants and workers at Pars Ghadir Steel Merchants Mall on Tehran-Karaj highway went on strike protesting the new proposed tax laws. The strike was met with repression resulting in the arrest of two of the strikers. The proposed added taxes law has been an issue of contention recently with many jewelries in Tehran and other cities currently on strike across the country.
