IRNA Report: Iranian Military Official Says Attack On Iran Would Mean End Of U.S.
The official Iranian news agency IRNA reports that Iranian Armed Forces chief of staff Maj.-Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi said today that launching any attack against Iran would mean the end of the U.S.
Firouzabadi made the remarks at a local gathering in Tehran while commenting on the latest statements by U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen.
He said, "Iran has been ready for 10 years" to confront any possible attack, although it has not taken Mullen’s words as a threat, the agency reported, adding that Firouzabadi also said that Mullen made the remarks for U.S. public opinion and to justify America’s extravagant budget for military affairs while the people are trapped in a worsening economic crisis.
