If you didn't hear about Iranian interior minster, Ali Kordan's fake oxford doctorate degree by now, you didn't miss anything.
It needs a little explanation here though. Well, in Iran high ranking (regime, government) positions require no degree, like supreme leader, deceased Khomeini or current one, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, also all other mullahs and their tribe(s) who run the regime.
Mullahs have some specific schools called Madrasseh (clergy schools) that they have no degree or exam or stuff like that, then their teachers (again mullahs) will find out that their students are ready to go to market or not! Later mullahs found out they need to claim for university degree besides their mullahacy degree (!). So they passed on law in parliament that their mullahacy time will recognize as university degree. Go figure!
Even most of our lawmakers in Iran are bunch of useless and illiterate part of our society but they have control over everything. The guy needed to be part of those corrupted and he wasn't mullah so he bought a fake degree. That's all! I don't think so a fake honorary doctorate of law from Oxford, would hurt government in Iran, or would it?!
