Expediency council member: “We’re all truly worried, not knowing what the enemy will do”

Mohammad Hashemi, member of the expediency council of the Islamic regime confessed to their chaotic position both domestically and internationally and conveyed the fear of regime’s leaders regarding this situation. Hashemi said: "the international atmosphere in the shadow of the American-backed U.N. security council resolution which was passed unanimously, has created an injurious atmosphere and has had severe psychological impact on the authorities, because to some extent there is great ambiguity about what they enemy will do."

Abdol-Vahed Mousavi-Lari, former interior minister of the Islamic republic who is also worried about the consequences of the Security Council resolution said: “The combined hostility of all our enemies and the utter incompetence at work domestically is like a double-edged sword which can endanger the regime’s dominion. Currently the fears and anxieties of the country’s authorities is crystal clear and given the state of affairs, they have good reason to be concerned; all those fears and anxieties are rooted in reality. There are now new conditions that have developed in the country that is a product of the jealousy and envy of our position and our existence; there are people who have been against us from the very beginning.”

Mohsen Armin, former representative to the Islamic regime also confessed to international isolation and said: "Don’t people know that we are supportive of the world of Islam and that we are united with our fellow Muslim countries. So why is it, that in the whole Islamic world there isn’t a single country that is on our side and united with us? We have to turn to the Latin Americans for support and even then, none of those 4 Latin American countries are economically, politically and on the same level as our neighboring countries.”
