2006 Thursday 28 DecemberAverage wage of an Iranian worker is $55 per monthIran Press News: Ghorban-Ali Meershekar, the director of Workers House of the province of Sistan-Baluchestan in an interview with the regime-run news agency ILNA stated: “The Labor Department of this province was lying when they claimed that there are no factories in this region that are problem free. I myself know of at least 3 factories that have major problems. Khaash ceramic brick factory, Gowhar-Kooh plantation and industrial group and Zabol textile are among the units that have grave problems and are suffering from huge cash deficit and mismanagement. The main problem with factories like Gowhar-Kooh is that the management is more concerned with politics and political ideology and has absolutely no experience or qualification in economic issues and the proper management. This factory employs 150 workers. The same goes for Khaash ceramic brick that employs more than 50 workers. Zabol textile employs just over 100 workers and each of these factory workers average salary is $55 per month.” |
