2006 Thursday 28 DecemberThe Islamic regime’s oil minister: “Many companies refuse to work with us”Iran Press News: In an interview, Kazem Vaziri-Hamaneh, the Islamic regime’s oil minister said: “Due to pressures from the U.S. many oil companies are severing ties with the regime in Tehran and are refusing to invest in Iran.” Regarding the consequences of international sanctions against Tehran’s regime he added: “[Many companies] are even finding all kinds of excuses not to deliver bifold equipment that we had purchased. Foreign banks are also denying us loans and are refusing to invest in oil development projects.” On the possibility of using oil as a weapon against western countries Vaziri-Hamaneh said: "the decision of the Islamic regime is not to be pressured or forced into anything and if necessary, we will use every weapon at our disposal.” |
