2006 Thursday 28 December3 years after the Bam earthquake, the disaster-stricken people are still homelessIran Press News: 3 years after the horrible Bam earthquake, the survivors of this disaster are still homeless and live in utter devastation. Based on admissions from the Islamic regime’s own media, the regime leaders have taken negligible measures to rebuild this destroyed city. The regime-run newspaper Iran in its’ Tuesday, December 26th issue confessed that 3 years after the earthquake in Bam, the residents of this city are still desperately wanting for the barest of necessities and creature comforts. One can still clearly see a large number of shacks and tents; they are on every corner of the main streets. Even students in Bam still attend classes in huts. The regime’s governor in Bam confessed to the indifference of the Islamic regime towards the status of disaster-stricken in this city and said: “The issue of the implementation of Bam’s sewage has been discussed many times but the authorities refuse to lift a finger because they say that the costs are too high. The pollution of underground water plates of the city is quite serious and dangerous.” |
