2006 Wednesday 20 DecemberItalian newspaper La Republica: Stars can be seen in the night skiesIran Press News: The Italian newspaper La Republica in a report about the protest of the student activist against Ahmadinejad wrote that these protests in Tehran’s polytechnic university showed that students now in Iran are now attempting to recover their rights. This newspaper wrote that the students rose signs against Ahmadinejad that read “Stars can be seen in the night skies”; by stars they meant the students with stars who have been censured by the Islamic regime’s intelligence and security ministry and the ministry of science and are therefore being deprived of continuing their higher degrees because of their political activities. La Republic wrote one star means the first warning, 2 stars means that the student receives a written warning to quit further political activities and 3 stars means complete deprivation of education. This newspaper wrote that students carried placards against Ahmadinezhad that read: We will not surrender and we will not retreat. |
