2006 Wednesday 20 DecemberMansour Osanlou, director of the bus drivers union released from prisonIran Press News: According to received reports, on Tuesday evening, December 19th Mansour Osanlou, director of the greater Tehran bus drivers union was released from Evin prison. During recent days reports had indicated that his release was imminent. Several days ago Osanlou’s lawyers announced that his wife had been able to come up with the $33,000 bail and that the rest was going through an administrative phase. It is worth mentioning that Mansour Osanlou was originally released from prison after an 8-month-long prison term, in August. Osanlou and a number of other members of the Tehran bus drivers union were arrested on December 23rd, 2005 from their union headquarters. Osanlou had been free since August when he was abducted by a car full of the Islamic regime’s agents on Sunday morning, November 19th, while he was running errands. |
